MIGUEL ZENON A native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, critically acclaimed saxophonist, composer and arranger Miguel Zenón is regarded as one of the most versatile and innovative Jazz artists of today. In his short, but illustrious career, the 29 year old Zenón has performed and/or recorded with artists such as Charlie Haden, Brian Lynch, Bobby Hutcherson, Greg Tardy, Branford Marsalis, Ray Barretto, Steve Coleman, Michele Rosewoman, and Ed Simon, to name few. He has released several CD’s as a leader including “Jibaro”, (Zenon’s second CD for Marsalis Music), which was chosen as one of the "Best Recordings of 2005" by sources including The New York Times, Latin Beat, El Nuevo Dia, Descarga.com, The Chicago Tribune, among others. Joined by some of the best musicians from the New York Jazz scene, Miguel Zenón will feature his latest musical creations in what promises to be an evening of outstanding music. Tickets: |
