Inquilinos Boricuas en Accion is leading a coordinated
community effort to improve the literacy and educational
levels of the entire Villa Victoria community. Our literacy
imperative spans the entire life cycle starting at preschool
and moving through college education. Our programs include:
Escuelita Borikén
is a nationally-accredited multicultural and bilingual
pre-school program servicing 80 children in Villa Victoria
and the surrounding South End community. Escuelita provides
an education that fosters the physical, social, linguistic,
cultural, and cognitive development of children in a
challenging but self-affirming environment.

Cacique Youth Learning
Center provides a coordinated
approach to youth development in Villa Victoria. Emphasizing
project-based experiential, interdisciplinary learning
activities, the program helps youth develop their capacity
to think critically, solve problems creatively, excel
in school, and become civically engaged. Cacique empowers
low-income youth, particularly Latinos, with the necessary
opportunities, skills, and supports needed by youth to
succeed in school and in their personal lives. Click here

Bunker Hill Community
College-South End Satellite
Pathway Technology Campus at Villa Victoria –Funded
in part by the fund for the Improvement of Post secondary
Education (FIPSE) of the United States Department
of Education, our Bunker Hill partnership provides
residents with the opportunity to take GED, College prepatory
and college-level courses while offering the academic
support services, case management, tutoring, and advising
needed to thrive. The overarching goal is to offer developmental
education, career-oriented certificate programs and on-site
job training opportunities that will create a gateway
to higher education, self-sufficiency and higher wage
jobs for a community that traditionally has not had these
