An active member of the City of Boston’s Timothy Smith Network; El Batey Technology Center demystifies technology and transforms it into a tool for community strength. Equipped with computers featuring high-speed Internet and a well-trained staff, El Batey empowers community members to gain technology knowledge and skills through four components:

1.Computer Training Classes

2.Academic Development
e.g. Computer Essentials, a Bunker Hill Community College credit course

3.Children and Youth Development
hosting technology-focused, project-based learning activities

4.Professional Development
providing cover letter, resume writing and internet-based job search assistance
